Selectmen Minutes 06/13/2011

The regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen was called to order at 6:30 PM by Chairman Connor with Mr. Soter and Mrs. Davies in attendance.

Mrs. Odabashian presented the 2011 Re-Precincting Plan to the Board of Selectmen (copy attached).  On a Soter/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to accept the 2011 Re-Precincting Plan for the Town of Bellingham including map, legal description and block listings as presented by the Town Clerk.
Mrs. Odabashian stated notification of precinct changes will be sent to Town residents and she is hoping to send notification of the change to one polling location at the same time.

On a Davies/Soter motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the Intermunicipal Agreement between the Town of Franklin and the Town of Bellingham for Shared Animal Control and Inspection Services as presented this evening (copy attached).

On a Davies/Soter motion, the Board unanimously voted to ratify Mr. Fraine’s appointment of Animal Control Officers Cindy Souza and Tracey Taddeo one-year term, Chief Financial Officer Marilyn Mathieu three-year term and Memorial & Veteran’s Day Committee (list attached) one year term.

On a Soter/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to reappoint Town Administrator Denis Fraine to a three-year term.

On a Davies/Soter motion, the Board unanimously voted to reappoint the firm of Blatman, Bobrowski & Mead, LLC as Town Counsel for a one-year term.

On a Davies/Soter motion, the Board unanimously voted to open the October Town Meeting warrant this evening and close it on July 8th, 12 noon.

On a Davies/Soter motion, the Board unanimously voted to accept the minutes of May 16th as submitted.

On a Soter/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to accept the minutes of May 25th as submitted.

On a Soter/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the following abatements:  residential water $2622.34, residential sewer $1383.17, municipal water $5619.54, municipal sewer $108.10 and trash $208.00.

On a Soter/Davies motion, the Board unanimously voted to approve the connection of proposed new and existing buildings at 191 Mechanic Street (a/k/a Bellingham Commons II) to town sewer.

On a Davies/Soter motion, the Board unanimously voted to adjourn the meeting at 6:50 PM.
